Upcoming Ruby Star Society Quilting Cotton Collections

Upcoming Ruby Star Society Quilting Cotton Fabric Collections!

Ruby Star Society - Creative Sisterhood

"The history of quilting is rich and beautiful: generations of women stitching together fabrics woven with memories, dreams, and secrets."

I've been having a rather productive week - I finished sewing the top of my Starpop II Quilt (made in the Curio collection) and now I've got decided on how I'm going to quilt it. It's rather large, which is a wonderful problem to have! But it means my poor domestic sewing machine is going to struggle…so I'm contemplating sending it to a longarmer or hand quilting it. At some point, I'll ask my partner to help me take some photos to capture it in all it's glory!

Back when I first started Floss Candy, one of the fabric designers I had on my wishlist was Ruby Star Society. I've always loved their quilting cotton designs - they're bold, modern & varied.

You can check out all of the quilting cotton fabric collections I stock here. If you have any questions about anything on Floss Candy, including help with your quilting projects, please send an email to becca@flosscandy.co.uk and I'll be happy to help!

Ruby Star Society is a design group comprised of five talented women - Melody Miller, Alexia Marcelle Abegg, Rashida Coleman-Hale, Kimberly Kight & Sarah Watts, who each have their own style and collaborate together to inspire creativity.

Ruby Star Society was founded in 2013 and has released many amazing fabric collections, as well as supportive resources. They all also work with mental health charities, donating proceeds from specially designed products.

"Our business may be founded on fabric, but at our core is the belief that anyone can create something. Something beautiful. Something meaningful. Something fun. We have the tools to help you start; you have the power to make it amazingly, uniquely, surprisingly yours."

Today I wanted to share with you the upcoming Ruby Star Society collections that I have on order and are due to arrive over the next six months! I'm just so excited that I couldn't keep these to myself.

If you want to see all upcoming fabric collections you can check out my Coming Soon page here.

"Friends, sisters, creators, trendsetters, star-gazers, hell-raisers, and modern-day makers. Our designers’ talent and vision are the backbone of Ruby Star Society."

Tiny Frights By Ruby Star Society

Tiny Frights by Ruby Star Society is a cute & spooky Halloween collection. It's a collab between the different Ruby Star Society designers and features pumpkins, owls & candy! As suggested by the name, all the prints any tiny and so precious.

Halloween fabric is very popular - and it's not just for the spooky season!

This year, I've decided to order in precuts only - as I've also ordered Art Gallery Fabric's Spooky & Witchy Collection. However, I think the two collections will complement each other perfectly. I can't wait to see your makes!

Tiny Frights by Ruby Star Society is due in late July 2023.

Flowerland by Melody Miller for Ruby Star Society is bright, bold & floral! Featuring flowers, seed packets, moths & mixers with a few darker prints for contrast. This collection gives me a retro vibe, especially those curves!

I'll be stocking all the precuts & fabric bolts, as well as several coordinating quilt patterns. I'm already thinking about my own personal sewing plans, it's going to be hard to choose!

Flowerland by Melody Miller for Ruby Star Society is due in October/November 2023.

Sugar Cone by Kimberly Kight For Ruby Star Society is just delicious! Ice creams, gummy bears & candy…I think this collection is going to be perfect for spring quilting projects. As usual with Ruby Star Society collections it's a mixture of prints & mixers with a contrasting colour palette. Looking at this quilting cotton collection, I think it would be just perfect for English Paper Piecing Fussy Cutting! I've been eyeing the Cream Soda pattern by Tales of Cloth.

I have the precuts and fabric bolts on order, as well as super adorable quilting patterns.

Sugar Cone by Kimberly Kight For Ruby Star Society is due January/February 2024.

So, those are the fabric collection from Ruby Star Society that I have on order. As you might notice there are gaps between deliveries - I'm hoping to order some of Ruby Star Society basics collections such as Speckled, Sugar & Add It Up. These collections also co-ordinate with the main collections as well as look great used as standalone fabrics in your quilting projects.

If you have any questions about anything on Floss Candy, including help with your quilting projects, please send an email to becca@flosscandy.co.uk and I'll be happy to help!
