For a long time, I've wanted to put together Quilt Kits. I've purchased them in the past and I just love the convenience of them - I don't have to hunt down specific fabrics or hope the ones I've subbed look good together!
Over the weekend I put together my first Quilt Kit for The Mason Jar Quilt by Moda for Ruby Star Society, you can download the pattern for free here.
The original pattern uses fabric from the Food Group Collection, but I thought it would be fun to use Strawberry & Friends instead! This way, you can make jars of Strawberry Jam! 🍓🍓
I asked people on Instagram what they would expect in a Quilt Kit and based on those answers I decided to include fabric to make the Quilt Front and Binding. That way you can choose your wadding and backing fabric at a later date.
This Quilt is beginner-friendly, the instructions are super clear and the piecing is straight-forward. I'm starting to make this Quilt and posting the photos on Instagram, why not follow along?
